Welcome to Sweet Messy Faith!
My name is Anna, and I believe that real faith can't be kept in a neat little box - it bleeds into the nooks and crannies of our lives.
As mamas, we have the opportunity to disciple the next generation. Discipleship is beautiful. It is messy. It is overwhelming. It is uplifting. It can be down-right frustrating. It will make you lean on God like nothing else you have ever encountered.
But while we are discipling kids, there are dishes and laundry and projects and dust bunnies. There are husbands that need help, and children that need to learn to read. There are traditions to be kept and songs to be sung and friends that need to be welcomed and dinners that need to be cooked.
And God wants us to weave our faith into all of it. Every single sweet, messy moment.
I am totally not perfect. But I am speaking from the experience I do have. I'm freakishly organized, but only because I value my freetime and flexibility.
My dream is that SweetMessyFaith can encourage and strengthen you to grow as a wife, mom and homemaker, not so that you can have a perfect home, but so that you will have the freedom to enjoy those that live in it with you.
Make Your Mark:
I want Sweet Messy Faith to be a place where you can comment on blog posts: share your thoughts! You are welcome to disagree, but I do ask that we all remain kind. My rule is: If you can't be kind, be quiet!
Feel free to read the entire comments policy here.
A Little More About Me...
I write books. Christian fantasy adventure books. You can read about that here if you like.
I was married young, to a man with a servant's heart. We have four kids (two sons and two daughters), and we homeschool. Yes, that means they are with me all the time. No, they don't drive me crazy. Usually.
I'm a bit eclectic. I write and draw and knit and bake and garden and hike and stuff. I have a Christian fiction series that I'm slowly plinking away at. I adored Narnia as a child (still do), and those stories helped grow my faith.
I am so blessed that God uses my books to encourage readers of many ages. It's an awesome thing to fall into the hands of the Living God, and if I can help even one person catch but a glimpse of how breathtakingly real He really is, then I will have made a difference in eternity.
Every year I send the tithe from my creative endeavors (including this blog) to someone special. The rest is used to bless our family with education and creative supplies. Thank you so much for being a part of our lives.

My Prayer for This Blog:
"I long to see you that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong - that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith."
