Yup. I had just, sort-of gone off the deep-end. Twenty minutes on Pinterest, and suddenly it seemed silly to have this appliance in my cozy kitchen that could only make waffles.
And there was this waffle book, promising it would give me some ideas and maybe add a little fun to the kitchen routine.
It actually did both, so in the spirit of self-justification, here's my pros & cons for Will It Waffle?
One of my favorite things to do with the waffle iron now is have everyone gather in the kitchen and create their favorite sandwich. I stand at the iron and throw each of them in, one at a time for two minutes. No, it's not a sit-down-everyone-together type meal, but it is novel and fun.
The chicken parmesan and waffled french toast are pretty awesome, too. I doubt I would have thought to try either of those in the waffle iron if I hadn't taken that trip through Wonderland.
