Okay. Life with littles is one big series of interruptions. You can't mute your kids, but you can cut out one of the major distractions in your life!
I recently turned off my email notifications. I mean, really, do I really need to know the exact moment someone sends me an email? Couldn't I just check my email once or twice a day and be done with it?
I could not believe the difference it made! It was like muting an annoying person who is always dropping in and trying to sell you things.
I was so much less distracted, it felt like my IQ had gone up a couple points! Since then I've been cutting out other notifications as the apps try to interrupt my life and my brainwaves.

Even shutting off one really pushy app can bring you a lot of peace. I challenge you to go into your phone's settings and turn off the app that interrupts you the most. And don't worry: you can always turn it back on if the silence drives you nuts.
