Faith Meets Fiction...

What does faith have to do with fiction?
I love the verse that says: "I will set no worthless thing before my eyes." (Psalm 101:3a)

Now, I am a reader too.  I love to read adventures and fantasies and mysteries.  Our world is bent and broken.  As C.S. Lewis said, there are plenty of Cruel Enemies, so we need to put brave knights and bold heroines before our eyes.

I don't write perfect characters.  Instead I write about people striving to overcome their flaws (not revel in them!).  Characters that struggle to live out their faith, or wrestle with their lack of it.

My stories have villains.  My stories have heroes.  My stories have triumphs & failures, danger & hope, darkness & light.
But the darkness in my stories is what my heroes are fighting to destroy.  No teen drinking, no infidelity.

I will be too Christian for some of you and not Christian enough for others.  That’s okay.  But for those of you who hear what I’m saying, I hope you can get to know and trust me as an author.  That, for me, is where Faith Meets Fiction.
