3/27/2017 One Man's Trash...
Unscrewed, by Ed Sobey is my sons' new favorite obsession.
In the past we've let them dismantle old appliances. It was cool, but we really didn't know what we were looking at. But no more! Ed Sobey's book, Unscrewed, teaches you what's worth keeping in that junk pile and gives you ideas of what you can use that stuff for! It's a boy's dream come true: take stuff apart and turn it into treasure! ...Is Another Mama's Treasure
Now, if my boys get free time, they are dismantling stuff. Like old, broken RC trucks that Mama would really, really like to pitch. This is a total win for me: the boys learn something, collect any interesting parts, and then toss the rest! I would much rather have one Interesting Parts Box than a pile of old stuff that we "might" fix/need someday. (You learned something and decluttered? Oh, my giddy aunt!)
Just don't anyone tell my kids that what they're doing is insanely educational, alright?
PS - This is NOT one of those deals where I was given a free copy! My oldest saw this book in the back of something else we own, and had to have it. It has been worth every penny!
