What's the Point of Homemaking?

10/13/2016

There really is a point to the endless diapers...
It can seem so endless, so pointless, changing nappies and sheets and wiping up spills and putting away the same toys over and over.

But it's not pointless.

There is a purpose to this season: This is your chance to let the Father prune you.  This is your chance to become patient and gentle. To not be bothered by the little things.  To be humble.  To trust God to be strong when you are weak.

This is your chance to sing praises when you are weary.  To learn to truly care for another more than yourself.

Dear sleep-deprived, weary Mama, don't give up.  You can trade your sighs for songs.  Ask the Savior to help you walk by faith.  Ask Him to help you see the amazing privilege He's given you through His eyes.

And when He does, cherish every moment.  Even those messy diapers.

OMG my daughter was terrified of "automatically flush" toilets for the longest time!
